HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1988-195CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 21st day of March , 1988. The following members were present: dyer Schn-id-r, Councilmembers Vasiliou , $iekar, Zitur and Sisk The following members were absent: None Cminrilmemher Ricker introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 88- 195 REQUESTING HENNEPIN COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO INSTALL TEMPORARY TRAFFIC SIGNAL COUNTY ROAD 9 AND FERNBROOK LANE CITY PROJECT NO. 764 WHEREAS, the Hennepin County Department of Transportation has conducted the necessary study and they conclude that a traffic signal is warranted on County Road 9 at it's intersection with Fernbrook Lane; and WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth is in concurrence with the installation of a traffic signal at this intersection; and WHEREAS, in accordance with County policy, the City will pay the full cost of the temporary signal and receive credit in the full amount towards the City's share of a permanent traffic signal when it is installed at a future date. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That it concurs with the installation of a temporary traffic signal on County Road 9 at it's intersection with Fernbrook Lane. FURTHER, that funding for the signal in the estimated amount of $30,000 will be provided from the City's Municipal State Aid Account at the time the City and County enter into an agreement for the installation of the signal. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by rouncilmemher Sisk , and upon vote being taken thereon, the follow'n voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker, Zitur an c Sgisk W -T , he following voted against or abstained:. None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
