HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1988-177CITY OF PLYMOUTH U Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 1 day of March, 1988. The following members were present: _Mayor Schne er ouncilmem ers as ou Ricer Zitur and Sisk The s wereabsent: None Councilmember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 88-177 APPROVING VARIANCE FROM THE URBAN DEVELOPMENT POLICY RESOLUTION NO. 75-664 FOR MARTIN u AND JOAN LEEPER (87095) WHEREAS, Narfin and Joan. Leeper have requested approval of a Variance from the Urban Development Policy Resolution No. 75-664, to plat an unserviced 20 acre parcel into three parcels; one for City park; one for the existing residence; and, one for a new building site on.property located at 5525 Juneau Lane North; and, WHEREAS, ,the Planning `Commission has reviewed the request at a duly called Public Hearing; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it shou)J'and hereby does approve the request for a Variance from the Urban Development Policy Resolution No. 75-664 to divide unserviced property located at 5525 Juneau Lane North for the following reasons: 1. The proposed division and development will not cause a deleterious impact upon the natural environment. 2. The development will not cause an undesirable burden upon the City in providing services and utilities because it will only create one additional lot. 3. The Council has granted similar variances if the new parcel is to be occupied by a member of the family owning the property. The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was.duly seconded by Councilmember.Vasiliou , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted In favor thereof: ounc members Vasiliou Ricker Zitur and Sisk The folTowTng voted against or abstained: Mayor nelder Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
