HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1988-174CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 21st_ day of March . 1988. The following members were present: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers VasiliOU, Ricker, Zitur and Sisk The following members were absent: None Councilmember Sisk introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 88-174 ADOPTING ASSESSMENT 1987 WEED ERADICATION AND DESTRUCTION ROLL 4 WHEREAS:, pursuant to proper notice duly given ar required by law, the Council has met and heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessments for 1987 weed eradication and destruction charges (Roll 4) as provided for by the City Ordinances and has amended such proposed assessment as it deems just; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. Such proposed assessment, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part thereof, is hereby accepted and shall constitute. the special assessment against the land named therein and each tract of land herein in-cluded is hereby bound to be identified by the amount of the assessment levied against it. 2. Such assessments shall be payable over a period of one year. 3. Assessments may be paid in full to the City of Plymouth Finance Director by April 21, 1988 Without additional charge. After April 21, 1988 daily interest charge based on an annual rate of 8.00% starting on March 21, 1988 will be due in addition to the levied. assessment. The last date a payment can be accepted by the City of Plymouth is November 15, 1988. After that date interest shall be.added from the date of this resolution until December 31, 1989 and payment can only be made to Hennepin County with the 1989 property taxes. 4. The clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment to the County Finance Director to be extended on the proper tax lists of the County and such assessments shall be collected and paid over the same manner as other municipal taxes. 5. The total cost of the 1987 weed eradication and destruction charges Roll 4 assessed by this resolution are $ 712.52. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof:Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasi,iou, $yam, Zitur and Sisk The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
