HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1988-134CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the Zznd day of February 1988. The following members were present: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers �s-iT u, Ricker, Zitur and Sisk The following members were a sent: None Councilmember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 88-134 CANADA GOOSE POPULATION MANAGEMENT AND ECOLOGY CONTRACT WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has experienced problems associated with an increased population of Canadian geese at three public sites in Plymouth; and WHEREAS, it is desirable to control the population of these geese In order to make the best use of these sites; and WHEREAS, the City Council has approved funding for the management of the geese population in Plymouth: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: that the City enter into an agreement with the University of Minnesota for the management of the goose population problem located at Parkers Lake, Medicine Lake, and Timber Shores Park. Be it further resolved that the contract amount for the first year of this project will be $3,000, and an additional $9,000 will be included in the contract should the City decide to continue this program for three subsequent years after 1988. The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following vote n favor thereof: Mayor chnelder, Councilmembers Vasillou, Ricker, Zitur and Sisk The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed ancFadopted.
