HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1988-069CITY OF PLYMOUM Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota,'was held on the 25th day of January , 1988 . The following members were present: id r Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker, Zitur and Sisk The rotlowing members were absent: None ARR RRR Councilmember Zitur introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 88-69 APPROVING SETTING PARK DEDICATION FEES FOR 1988 RRA WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has a policy setting forth park dedication fees for residential and commercial/industrial property; and WHEREAS, the City assessor has concluded that undeveloped residential property is selling for approximately $15,000 per acre, and undeveloped commercial/industrial property for approximately $35,000 per acre; and WHEREAS, the Director of Parks and Recreation has recommended that a park dedication fee of $600 per unit be set for residential property and that a fee of $2,850 per acre be used for commercial/industrial property; and WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed said recommendation and finds this recommendation to be appropriate, based on the assessor's land estimates, and in comparison with park fees from other metropolitan communities; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that the 1988 park fees shall be $600 per residential unit and $2,850 per acre for commercial/industrial property effective March 1, 1988.
