Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the Cite Council (-
the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 14th day of December IF87.
The following members were present: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou,

Councilmember Crain introduced the following Resolution and moved its

RESOLUTION NO. 87 - 829
APPROVING VARIANCE REOUEST TO CITY FIRE LANE ORDINANCE FOR MORTENSON DEVELOPMENT
CORPORATION. EDINA REALTY BUILDING (87120)
WHEREAS. Mortenson Development Corporation has requested a variance to the cit -fire
lane ordinance on the south and west sides of the Edina Realtv Building at 4425 Countv
Road 181 and.
WHEREAS. this request was reviewed and recommended for approval by the Plvmouth Fire
Chief and Fire Prevention inspector based upon consideration of alternative fire
suppression requirements:
NOW. THEREFORE. IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH.
MINNESOTA. that it should and herebv does approve the request of the Mortenson
Development Corporation for the variance to the city fire Lane ordinance at the Edina
Reality Building. 4425 Countv Road 18. subject to the following conditions:
1. Fire department standpipes shall be installod In all enclosed stairwells of the
building.
2. The standpipes shall meet the requirements of the National Fire Protection
Association Standard 13 and 14 requirements for combined sprinkler and standpipe
systems.
FURTHER. the variance is based upon the finding that the provisions of Section 905.07
of the City Code have been met.
The Motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was dully seconded by
ilmember Sisk , and upon vote being takene� reon, Me
