HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1987-818CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 7th day of December 1987. The following members were present: Mayor Schneider. Councilmembers Vasiliou , Zitur, Crain and Sisk The following members were absent: None Councilmember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 87- 818 AUTHORIZING MAYOR AND CITY MANAGERS TO EXECUTE JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WITH CITY OF GOLDEN VALLEY FOR EMERGED'^Y CULVERT CONSTRUCTION - CITY PROJECT NO. 639 WHEREAS, the Bassett Creek Water Management Commission has ordered the emergency culvert construction under the Chicago Northwestern Railroad. WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth is a member of the Bassett Creek Water Management Commission; and WHEREAS, The Bassett Creek Water Management Commission has designated the City of Golden Valley to be the contracting agency for said project; and WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes Section 471.59 and Chapters 429 and 475 provide that two or more governmental units may enter into a cooperative agreement; and WHEREAS, a copy of the proposed agreement has been submitted to this Council for review; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the Mayor and City Manager are authorized to execute the proposed agreement for emergency culvert construction under the Chicago Northwestern Railroad with the City of Golden Valley. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the funds for the project ($24,000 estimated amount) in accordance with the agreement be provided from the Bassett Creek Storm Sewer Improvement Tax District. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Zitur, Crain and Sisk The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
