HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1987-795CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 7th day of December , 1987. The following members were present: Mayor Schneider Councilmembers Vasiliou , Zitur, Crain and Sisk The following members were absent: None Councilmember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 87- 795 RESOLUTION AWARDING BID BASS LAKE PLAZA/HARRISON HILLS AREA PROJECT NO'S 011-001/630 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of Bass Lake Plaza/Harrison Hills Area - south of County Road 10 and west of County Road 18 by the installation of sanitary sewer and watermain, and all necessary appurtenances; and WHEREAS, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: S.J. Louis Const. M & M Sewer & Water Bonine Excavating Richard Knutson, Inc. 0 & P Cont., Inc. Dave Perkins Cont., Inc. Nodiand Assoc., Inc. M.G. Astleford Burschville Const., Inc. J.P. Norex, Inc. Northdale Const. Co. C.S. McCrossan, Inc. F.M. Frattalone Progressivse Cont., Inc. G.L. Contracting, Co. Barbarossa & Sons, Inc. C.W. Houle, Inc. $ 232,085.80 232,148.74 249,699.97 251,224.04 253,513.57 257,780.25 261,254.50 262,776.50 265,557.75 270,733.23 270,765.22 272,632.70 273,024.00 277,670.95 286,187.30 291,098.40 340,544.80 WHEREAS, it appears that S.J. Louis Construction is the lowest responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications. Resolution No. 87-795 Page Two NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with S. J. Louis Construction of St. Cloud, Minnesota in the name of the City of Plymouth for the improvement of Bass Lake Plaza/Harrison Hills Area, Project No's 011-001 and 630 according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk in the amount of the low bid of $232,085.80. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by nneilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon the Poll wi4 voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Zitur, Crain an� Silk The following voted against or abstained: _Hong Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
