The following members were present: Mayor Schneider. Cou„cilmembers Vasiliou, Crain and Sisk The following members were absent: Councilmember Zitur Councilmember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 87-769 RESOLUTION AWARDTN'v ! CARLSON CENTER 8TH ADDITION PROJECT NO. 751 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of Carlson Center 8th Addition between Cheshire Lane and County Road 61 and South of Sunset Trail by the installation of sanitary sewer, watermain, storm sewer, concrete curb and gutter and bituminous street and all necessary appurtenances, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Bury & Carlson, Inc. $149,569.84 B & D Underground, Inc. 149,848.00 Northdale Construction Co. Inc. 154,654.20 Bonine Excavating, Inc. 160,095.00 S. J. Louis Construction, Inc. 161,847.50 Nodland Construction Co., Inc. 166,480.00 Northwest Asphalt 171,562.30 WHEREAS, it appears that Bury & Carlson, Inc., of Golden Valley, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Bury & Carlson, Inc., of Golden Valley, N,innesota in the name of the City of Plymouth for the improvement of Carlson Center 8th Addition, between Cheshire Lane and County Road 61 and South of Sunset Trail according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk in the amount of the low bid of $149,569.84. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Vasiliou , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Crain and Sisk The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
