HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1987-744CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 2nd day of November , 1987. The following members were present: Mayor Schneider, Coinci m mb.rs VaSiliou , Zitur. Crain and Sisk The following members were absent: None Councilmemher Zitur introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 87-744 AWARDING BID FOR RECYCLING CONTAINERS WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for 15,000 recycling containers bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: We Recycle, Inc. $ 73,650 A - 1 Products 80,250 Rehrig Pacific Company 86,850 WHEREAS, it appears that We Recycle, Inc., of Toronto, Canada, is the lowest responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to accept the bid proposed of "We Recycle, Inc." to provide the City of Plymouth with 15,000 recycling containers at $4.91 each, or a total amount of $73,650. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit of the successful bidder shall be retained until the let shipment of containers is received. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Conn ilm mber Crain , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: M1taynr SchnPidPr� Cnuncilmemherc Zi�r Crain and Sisk , The following voted against or abstained: CouitcilmembeT Vasiliou Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
