Zitim- r'rain and Sisk The following members were absent: None mea ■o• 0*0 Councilmember Zitur introduced the following Resolution and moved its adop- tion. RESOLUTION NO. 87-684 AWARDING BID FOR PURCHASE OF TWO 1250 GPM PUMPERS AND ONE 1500 GALLON PUMPER ALTERNATE NUMBER 1 WITH TRADE-IN WHEREAS, the City has been authorized by referendum to sell bonds for the construction of Fire Station III and the acquisition of fire apparatus for said station: and WHEREAS. such equipment is required to adequately provide City service from Fire Station iil: and WHEREAS, in accordance with State Statute bid specifications were prepared and distri- buted and bid proposals received and opened on September 30. 1987: and • WHEREAS, the following bids were received: General Safety Equipment Corporation: 2 Pumpers $256,480.00 Ford LS9000 Chassis w/Cummins LID Diesel Engine 1 Tanker $ 98,890.00 Ford LS9000 Chassis w/Cummins LID Diesel Engine $355.370.00 Complete, some exceptions to specifications. NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: that it should and hereby does accept the proposal of General Safety Equipment Corporation in the amount :f $345.570.00 which reflects a trade-in of $4,500.00 for one 1%6 pumper, and further that funds for this purchase are authorized from Account No. 401-401-0=921.00-615-000. Delivery of said units shall be accomplished no later than October 15, 1988. A late delivery charge of $100.00 per day for every day delivery is beyond October 15, 1988. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Sisk, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Zitur, Crain and Sisk The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
