HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1987-538CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 17th day of August , 1987. The following members were present:_ Mayor Schne-fecT-,-Zouncilme ers Vasiliou, — Zitur and Sisk The following members were absent: Councilmember Crain Councilmember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 87-538 ORDERING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR 7:30 P.M., SEPTEMBER 14, WITH RESPECT TO WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT WHEREAS, at their August 17, 1987 meeting, the City Council considered the issue of wildlife management and specifically, geese control; and WHEREAS, in the course of these discussions, the Council learned of a program available through the University of Minnesota, through which geese populations are controlled by removing the young and adult birds during the molting season; and 10 WHEREAS, in order to participate in said program, the City must conduct a public meeting prior to entering into this program; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to keep its options opened with respect to the Initiation of this program in calendar year 1988; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, that it should, and hereby does, order a public hearing with respect to wildlife management for September 14 at 7:30 p.m., and further directs that the City Clerk place public notification of this hearing in the City's official newspaper sto provide a minimum of ten calendar days of public notice.
