HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1987-498CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, as ecial meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the day of Jul , 1987. The following members were present: Mayor Schnei e—r,-Zouncilme ers Litur, Vasillou and Sisk he following members were absent: Counclimember Crain Councilmember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 87-498 RESOLUTION DECLARING SURPLUS PROPERTY, RECONVEYING AND CONVEYING PORTIONS OF SAID PROPERTY AND APPROVING SALE OF SAME TO THE ADJACENT PROPERTY OWNER THROUGH PRIVATE SALE. WHEREAS, Mr. & Mrs. Richard Weber, owners of the property located at 15435 Gleason Lake Drive, have expressed an interest in acquiring those portions of property Identification number 33-118-22-34-0009 which are not needed for road right-of-way purposes for Ranchview Lane; and WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth obtained parcel number 33-118-22-34-0009 through conveyance of tax forfeit lands on June 23, 1978 for road right-of-way purposes for proposed Ranchview Lane, State Deed No. 115312; and WHEREAS, the City staff has evaluated the property and found that portions are not needed for street right-of-way purposes as originally anticipated; and WHEREAS, the public purpose can be achieved by reconveying those portions of the parcel unneeded for road right-of-way purposes; and WHEREAS, after considering various factors, the City Council has determined that this property is surplus to the City's needs. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does resolve as follows: 1) Authorize the reconveyance of those portions of parcel 33-118-22-34-0009 which are not needed for road right-of-way purposes for Ranchview Lane to the State of Minnesota. 2) Declares the portions of the property to be reconveyed as unbuildable under the zoning ordinance. RESOLUTION 87-498 Page 2 i 3) Approves the private sale by Hennepin County of those portions of parcel nunber 33-118-22-34-0009 not needed for road right-of-way purposes to Mr. d Mrs Richard Weber, the adjacent property owners of parcel number 33-118-22-34-0037, to be conbined with said parcel for home construction purposes.
