HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1987-496CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 27th day of July , 1987. The following members were present: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Zitur. Vasiliou and Sisk The following members were absent: Councilmember Crain Councilmember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 87-496 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID T.H. 101 ANC FERNBROOK LANE TRAILS PROJECT NO. 724 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of T.H. 101 from 26th Avenue to 19th Avenue and Fernbrook Lane from T.H. 55 to County Road 6 by the installation of a bituminous trail improvement and all necessary appurtenances, bids were received, opened and tablulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Company Total Bid Hardrives, Inc. $124,160.25 Alber Construction, Inc. 127,997.00 H.L. Johnson Company 132,853.00 Barber Construction Company 133,644.80 AND, WHEREAS, it appears that Hardrives, Inc., of Maple Grove, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH: 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Hardrives, Inc., of Maple Grove, Minnesota in the name of the City of Plymouth for the improvement of T.H. 101 from 26th Avenue to 19th Avenue and Fernbrook Lane from T.H. 55 to County Road 6 according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk in the amount of the low bid of $124,160.25. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by CoLnci7_memher 2itur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Zitur. Vasiliou and Sisk The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
