Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the fth day of

its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 87- 466
DESIGNATING CONSULTING ENGINEER AND
AMENDING ENGINEER SERVICES AGREEMENT
I-494/COUNTY ROAD 6 INTERCHANGE
CITY PROJECT NO. 250
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has been considering the construction of an
interchange with I-494 and County Road 6; and
WHEREAS, the project will be necessary before the full development of the
Northwest Business Campus and the Parkers Lake North Addition; and
WHEREAS, in order to meet required time schedules for construction, a
consulting engineer for the project needs to be retained; and
WHEREAS, the project will involve joint cooperation between the City of
Plymouth, Hennepin County and the Minnesota Department of Transportation; and
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of all parties to have the same consulting
engineering firm for all improvements necessary;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the firm of Strgar-Roscoe-Fausch, Inc. is designated
as the consulting engineer for the I-494/County Road 6 Interchange, Project No.
250.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the scope of the project is as follows:
I-494/County Road 6 Interchange
Prepare all necessary design computations, plans and specifications
and carry out construction staking and inspection, including the
bridge, approach roads, ramps and other segments of the project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the work is to be performed under the existing
engineering services agreement between the City of Plymouth and
Strgar-Roscoe-Fausch, Inc. dated December 3, 1979, with the following
modifications:
1. Payment for basic services as outlined in Section 4.1 of the
agreement shall be modified as follows:
a. Compensation for basic services for the I-494/County Road 6
Interchange shall be computed on the basis of "Curve A" of
the ASCE Manual No. 45.
b. The City will receive a credit of $10,000 for work
previously performed under current studies.

c. The consultant shall invoice the City for work performed on
a monthly basis for the preceding month, with the
distribution of the total fee defined as follows:
1) Preliminary report and final design phase - 97%
2) Construction Phase - 2%
3) Upon final completion - 1%
2. The engineering agreement in Section 4.2 defining payment for
additional services shall be modified as follows:
a. The compensation shall be on an hourly basis for the actual
time exper"'ed at a rate of 2.5 times salary cost plus
reimbursable expensees. The reimbursable expenses shall be
in accordance with Schedule B.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
