HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1987-433CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a -+spemeeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 2.2nd day of Jun , 19 87 The followina members were present: _ ayor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain, Sisk, Vasiliou and Z;tur The following members were absent: None Councilmember Zitur introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 87_433 DENYING ON -SALE NON -INTOXICATING LIQUOR LICENSE FOR PLYMOUTH RACQUET CLUB WHEREAS, application for on -sale non -intoxicating liquor license has been received from Roger Hokanson, Plymouth Racquet Club, 2800 Fernbrook Lane, for consideration and approval by the Plymouth City Council in accordance with Plymouth City Code, Chapter XII, Section 1206; and WHEREAS, all fees have been paid, required insurance provided, and the Police Department has conducted an investigation; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that on -sale non -intoxicating liquor license be denied for the following reason: 1. The Council finds the application is not in accordance with Chapter XII, Section 1206.43 which states, " Delinquent Taxes and Charges. No license shall be granted for operation on any premises on which state, city, or county taxes, assessments, or other financial claims of the state, city, or county are delinquent and unpaid." 2. The Police Department's investigation has shown that the second half of the 1986 and first half of the 1987 property taxes have not been paid. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Crain , and upon vote being taken thereon, tT;e following vote n favor thereof: Sisk.
