HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1987-416CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 15th day of June , 1987. The following members were present: Mayor Schneider. Councilmembers Crain. Sisk. Zitur and Vasiliou The foll ,ing members were absent: none f_nuncilmemher Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 87- 416 APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS 1987 STREET SURFACING PROGRAM WHEREAS, pursuant to resolutions passed by the City Council as follows: Project No. 530 - Tyrell Addition Resolution No. 85-363, adopted July 2, 1985 2. Project No. 539 - Swan Lake Addition Resolution No. 85-536, adopted July 15, 1985 3. Project No. 542 - 14th Avenue, Olive Lane Resolution No. 86-225, adopted April 21, 1986 The City's Consulting Engineer, Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik & Associates, Inc., has prepared plans and specifications for bituminous street, concrete curb and gutter and all necessary appurtenances; and WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized the combining of the above referenced projects for bidding purposes; and WHEREAS, the Consulting Engineer has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for their approval; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and nade a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in The Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for three days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the City Clerk until 10:00 a.m. on the lst day of July, 1987, at which time they will be publicly opened is the Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center building at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota, by the City Manager and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City Clerk for five percent of the amount of such bid. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider. Councilmembers . Crain, Sisk- Zitur and Vasiliou The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
