Pursuant to due <:dll and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the ISt day of June . 1987

Councilmember Sisk Introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 87 - 385
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
INTO CONTRACT WITH THE REGIONAL TRANSIT BOARD AND THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH FOR
FUNDING PUBLIC TRANSIT AND AN AGREEMENT FOR OPERATION AND MANAGEMENT
OF THE PLYMOUTH METROLINK PUBLIC TRANSIT SYSTEM WITH MEDICINE LAKE LINFS
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has uptrated the Plymouth Metrolink Transit System
since duly 1, 1983; and
WHEREAS, the Regional Transit Board has assumed the role of contract administrator in
place of the Minnesota Department of Transporataion; and
WHEREAS, the City has annually entered into contract with the Contract Administrator
and with Medicine Lake Lines to clearly set forth the responsibilities of each party;
and
WHEREAS, the Regional Transit Board has agreed under contract to reimburse costs to
the City associated with Plyriouth Metrolink for 1987 in a maximum amount not to
exceed $449,150.00
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
that it should and hereby does authorize the Mayor and City Manager to execute the
Regional Transit Board agreement with the City of Plymouth for funding public transit
and an agreement for operation and management of Plymouth Metrolink Public
transportation System for calander year 1987.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute requests for
reimbursement from the Regional Transit Board.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
