Councilmember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 87- 362
APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
HIGHWAY 101 AND FERNBROOK LANE TRAIL
PROJECT NO. 724
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the City Council on February 9,
1987, the City's Consulting Engineer, Short -Elliott -Hendrickson, Inc., has
prepared plans and specifications for the improvement of Highway 101, from 19th
Avenue to 25th Avenue and Fernbrook Lane from Highway 55 to County Road 9, by
the installation of a detached pedestrian trail and has presented such plane and
specification to the Council for approval;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto
and made a part hereof, are hereby approved.
2. The Citv Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the
official paper and in The Construction Bulletin an advertisement
for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved
plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published
once, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids
will be received by the City Clerk until 10:00 on Tuesday, June
30, 1987, at which time they will be publicly opened in the
Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center building at 3400
Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota, by the City Manager and
that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the
City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check,
bid bond or certified check payable to the City Clerk for five
percent of the amount of such bid.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain, Sisk,
Vasiliou and Zitur
The following voted against or abstained: none
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
