HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1987-312CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Regular meeting of the City_ Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 14th day of May , 1987. The following members were present: Mayor c ne7 er, Councilmembers Crain, Sisk, Zitur and Vasi iou The following members were absent: none Councilmember Crain introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 87- 311 APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS 1987 SEAL COAT AND CURB REPAIR PROGRAM WHEREAS, plans and specifications have been prepared by the City Engineer for the improvement of certain streets within the City by the construction of a bituminous seal coat, concrete curb and gutter repair, and said plans and specifications have been presented to the Council for approval; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2. The Citv Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the lifficial paper and in The Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement uider such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published once, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the City Clerk until 10:00 a.m. on June 11, 1987, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Plymouth Citv Center building at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota, by the City Manager and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City Clerk for five percent of the amount of such bid. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain, Zitur and Vasiliou The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
