HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1987-249CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 20th day of April , 19 87 The following members were present: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain, Vasiliou, Sisk and Zitur The following members were absent: None Councilmember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 87-249 APPROVAL OF LAND USE GUIDE PLA14 AMENDMENT AND REZONING FOR PROPERTY LOCATED NORTH AND SOUTH OF 34TH AVENUE, EAST OF XENIUM LANE WHEREAS, it has been requested to approve reclassification of land use guiding and rezoning for land located north and south of 34th Avenue, east of Xenium Lane from the LA -2 (low medium density residential) designation to the LA -1 (low density residential) designation; and, WHEREAS, it has been requested to approve rezoning for land located north and south of 34th Avenue, east of Xenium Lane from the R-2 (low density multiple residence) District to the R -1A (low density single family residential) District; and, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has considered the request following a duly scheduled public hearing and has recommended approval; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the reclassification of land use guiding for land located north and south of 34th Avenue, east of Xenium Lane from LA -2 (low medium density residential) designation to LA -1 (low density residential) designation and rezoning from the R-2 (low density multiple residence) District to R -1A (low density single family residential) District. FURTHER, approval of the Land Use Guide Plan Amendment is contingent upon, and subject to the required review and response by the Metropolitan Council, and the rezoning ordinance shall he published upon receipt of the Metropolitan Council response. The motion for adoption of the foregoi,ig Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted In favor thereof: 5 Ayes The f�illowing voted against or abstained: None Whem upon the Resolution was declared duly passed .ind adopted. k
