HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1987-238CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 20th day of April . 1987. The following members were present: Mayor Schneider, ouncilmembers Crain, Vasiliou, Zitur and Sisk The following memhers were absent: None T Councilmember Sisk introduced Lhe following Resolution and moved Its a option: RESOLUTION NO. 87-238 AMENDING 1987 DATES FOR CITY-WIDE WATER RESTRICTION PROGRAM WHEREAS, Section 720.45 of the Plymouth City Code provides that the Council may by resolution regulate the usage of municipal water for the purposes of lawn and garden sprinkling, irrigation, car washing, air conditioning and other such uses; and WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 84-372 the City Council authorized the establishment Of an" even -odd' city-wide water restriction program for watering and other external water uses, which program automatically goes Into effect between dune 1 and September 30 annually; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, that because of extremely dry weather experienced „hi_ spring, coupled with a high demand for water, the Council finds It necessary to Initiate the " even -odd' water restriction program for 1987 effective April 20, 1987 through September 30, 1987. FURTHER, that the staff is directed to Implement the proqram including City Code provided sanctions and to monitor program effectiveness and report to the Council in the event an all-out ban Is necessary based upon water usage and rainfall experience. The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain, Vasiliou,__ Zitur and Sisk The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopte
