HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1987-217CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 6th day of AR ril , 1987. The following members were present: Payor Schneider, Counci members Crain and Sisk The following members were absent: Councilmembers Vasiliou and Zitur Councilmembers Crain introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 87-217 AUTHORIZING THE VACATION OF STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY LARCH LANE, ADJACENT TO LOT 6, BLOCK 2 RAPPAPORT ADDITION WHEREAS, a petition was received to vacate that portion of Larch Lane, lying adjacent to Lot 6, Block 2, Rappaport Addition by the City Council; and WHEREAS, a notification of publication of said hearing was published and posted two weeks prior to the meeting of April 6, 1987; and WHEREAS, the Council did hold a public hearing on April 6, 1987 to inform any and all interested parties relavent to the vacation of said street in accordance with Minnesota Statutes 412.851 as amended; and WHEREAS, it was determined by the City Council that said street right-of-way is no longer needed for public purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the following street right-of-way is hereby vacated: Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot 6, Block 2, Rappaport Addition, Hennepin County, Minnesota; thence on an assumed bearing of North 22 degrees 27 minutes 50 seconds West along the East line of said Lot 6 a distance of 109.61 feet; thence Easterly, Northerly and Northwesterly along a nontangential curve, concave to the North having a radius of 50.00 feet, a central angle of 90 degrees, and a chord of 70.71 feet which bears North 22 degrees 32 minutes 10 second East for an arc distance of 78.54 feet to a point on the East right-of-way line of Larch Lane; thence South 22 degrees 27 minutes 50 seconds East along said right-of-way line a distance of 180.39 feet to the Southeast corner of said Rappaport Addition; thence North 89 degrees 54 minutes 19 seconds West a distance of 54.14 feet to the point of beginning. AND FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED, that a 20 foot utility and drainage easement shall be maintained over the Southeasterly 20 feet of said street. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Sisk , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider. Cogncilmembers Crain and Sisk The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
