HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1987-207CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 23rd day of March , 1987. The following members were present: Mayer Schneider, Councimembers Crain, Vasiliou and Zitur The following members were absent: Councilmember Sisk Councilmember Zitur introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION 140. 87- 207 APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS GROVES OFFICE PARR - STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT NO. 648 WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the City Council on January 12, 1987, the City's Consulting Engineer, Strgar-Roscoe-Fausch, Inc., has prepared plans and specifications for the improvement of the 13th Avenue/County Road 18 Intersection and the County Road 18/Highway 55 frontage road by the installation of watermain, storm sewer and street improvements and has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for approval; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2. The C;cy Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in The Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published once, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the City Clerk until 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 17, 1987, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center building at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota, by the City Manager and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City Clerk for five percent of the amount of such bid. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Crain , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain, Vasiliou and Zitur The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
