HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1987-174CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 16th day of March , 1987. The following members were present:—Flayor Schneider, ouncilmembers Crain, Sisk, Vasiliou and Zitur The following members were absent: none Councilmember Vasiliou introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 87- 174 AUTHORIZING THE VACATION OF CERTAIN DRAINAGE EASEMENT SNYDER'S LAKEVIEW ADDITION LOT 4, BLOCK 2 WHEREAS, a petition was received to vacate a certain drainage easement in Lot 4, Block 2, Snyder's Lakeview Addition; and WHEREAS, a public hearing with respect to said vacation was scheduled for March 16, 1987 in accordance with Minnesota Statutes 412.851 as amended; and WHEREAS, a notice of publication of said hearing was published and posted two weeks prior to the meeting of March 16, 1987; and WHEREAS, the Council did hold a public hearing on March 16, 1987 to inform any and all interested parties relevant to the vacation of a drainage easement in Lot 4, Block 2, Snyder's Lakeview Addition; and WHEREAS, it was determined by the City Council that said easement is not needed for public purposes; NOW, THEREFORE,, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the following drainage easement be vacated: A permanent easement for ponding and drainage purposes over, under, across and through that part of Lot 4, Block 2, Snyder's Lakeview Addition lying Westerly and Southerly of the following described line: Beginning at a point on the North line of said Lot 4, distant 25 feet East from the Northwest corner thereof; thence Southeasterly parallel to the Southwesterly line of said Lot 4, 170 feet; thence East parallel to the North line of said Lot 4, 75 feet; thence Northeasterly to a point on the East line of Lot 4, 35 feet South of the Northeast corner of said Lot 4. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution wee duly seconded by Councilmember Zitur ,and upon vote being Laken thereon, the toilawing voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain, Sisk, Vasiliou and Zitur The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
