HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1987-173CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the16th day of March , 1987. The following members were present: Mayor Schneider. Councilmembers Crain, Sisk, Vasiliou and Zitur The following members were ent: none Councilmember Vasiliou introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 87-173 AUTHORIZING THE VACATION OF CERTAIN STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY LARCH HEIGHTS LAGOON 2ND ADDITION LARCH LANE, ADJACENT TO LOT 7, BLOCK 3 WHEREAS, a petition was received to vacate certain street right-of-way in Lot 7, Block 3, Larch Heights Lagoon 2nd Addition; and WHEREAS, a public hearing with respect to said vacation was scheduled for March 16, 1987 in accordance with Minnesota Statutes 412.851 as amended; and WHEREAS, a notice of publication of said hearing was published and posted two weeks prior to the meeting of March 16, 1987; and WHEREAS, the Council did hold a public hearing on March 16, 1987 to inform any and all interested parties relevant to the vacation of a portion of Larch Lane, adjacent to Lot 7, Block 3, Larch Heights Lagoon 2nd Addition; and WHEREAS, it was determined by the City Council that said street right-of-way is not needed for public purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the following street right-of-way be vacated: All that part of the public street right-of-way known as Larch Lane, located in the West 1/2 of the Northwest 1/4, Section 11, Township 118, Range 22, Hennepin County, Minnesota, which lies Westerly of a line 60.00 feet Westerly, measured radially and at right angles from the Westerly line of Lot 2, Block 4, Larch Heights Lagoon 2nd Addition and lying Northerly of the Soo Line Railroad Company right -of -wap. The motion for the ad-.,ption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Crain , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain, Sisk, Vasiliou and Zitur The fallowing voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
