HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1987-163CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 2nd day of March ,10 1987. The following members were present: yorSchneider, Councilmembers Crain, Sisk, Vasiliou, and Zitur The following members were absent: none eee a*e met Councilmember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 87-163 A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING APPROVAL OF THE HENNEPIN COUNTY FEDERAL AID URBAN (F.A.U.) PROJECT SUBMITTAL FOR PROJECTS WITHIN THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH FOR 1989 THROUGH 1991 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Plymouth is the official governing body of the City of Plymouth; and WHEREAS, the City Council encourages and participates with improvements to obtain adequate transportation facilities in the Metropolitan area; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that these projects are warranted and desirable for improvement through the Federal Aid Urban Program; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, that the Transportation Advisory Board, the Metropolitan Council, and other boards and commissions associated therewith are hereby advised that the City of Plymouth concurs with and supports the Hennepin County F.A.U. project applications for the following projects within the City of Plymouth for time period 1989 through 1991: - County Project 7408 - CSAH 10 (Bass Lake Road) Grading, Surfacing, Channelization, Bridge, and Traffic Control Signals from CSAR 18 to West of I-494. - County Project 8642 - CSAH 6 Grading, Surfacing, Channelization, and Traffic Control Signals from TH 101 to Fernbrook Lane. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk is hereby directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to Dennis L. Hansen, County Traffic Engineer, Hennepin County Department of Transportation, 320 Washington Avenue South, Hopkins, Minnesota 55343. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zitur 'and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: _F or Schneider.
