HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1987-158CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the Zd day of March 1987. The following members were present: Mayor Schne�cTer,Councilmen ers ra n, Sisk Vasillou and Zitur TRe-7oilowing members were absent: None Counclimember Crain introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 87-158 AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF REQUEST FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS FROM URBAN HENNEPIN COUNTY 1987 DISCRETIONARY ACCOUNT WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has been notified by the Community Development Department of Urban Hennepin County that approximately $450,000.00 of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds are to be reallocated from the Discretionary Account to participating communities; and, WHEREAS, it is required that the City of Plymouth apply to Urban Hennepin County for Discretionary Account funds for eligible activities; and, WHEREAS, the Plymouth Housing and Redevelopment Authority and the Plymouth City staff have reviewed possible uses for the Discretionary Account funds; and, WHEREAS, the Union City Mission has submitted a proposal that the City apply for funds for a rehabilitation protect; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it does authorize the submittal of a request for CDBG funds from the 1987 Discretionary Account for the following activities: 1. Day Care Subsidy Program $10,000.00 2. Rehabilitation of Private Dwellings 10,000.00 3. Union City Mission 92,400.00 TOTAL $112,400.00 The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmiember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, tie following vote n Yavor there yor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain, Sisk Vasiliou and Zitur Mefollowing voted against or abstained: ne Whereupon the Resolution was declared dui .
