HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1987-130CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 23rd day of February 1987. The following members were present: Mayor c nelder, Councilmembers Crain. Sisk. and Zitur The following members were absent: Councilmember Vasiliou Councilmember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 87-130 REQUEST FOR PAYMENT NO 5 AND FINAL 1986 STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth as owner and Alexander Construction Company, as contractor have entered into an agreement for the 1986 Street Improvements, Project No's 427, 501, 403, 324, 429, 530, 504, 539, 503, 505, 304, 225 and 616, said agreement being dated June 23, 1986; and WHEREAS, the engineer has certified his acceptance of the work and his approval of the final request for payment: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. That the original contract amount was $720,880.60 and the value of the work to date is $671,924.78. 2. That the work performed by the contractor for the 1986 Street Improvement Project and certified to the Council by the engineer as acceptable be and the same is hereby released from the contract except as to the conditions of the performance bond, any and all legal rights of the owner, required guarantees and correction of faulty work after final payment. 3. Request for Payment No. 5 and Final in the amount of $43,958.53 to Alexander Construction Company for the 1986 Street Improvement Project is hereby approved and the City Finance Director is hereby authorized and directed to pay the same forthwith. The notion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Counei1Mmhprs Crain. Sisk. and Zitur The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
