HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1987-124CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 9th day of February , 19 87 . The following members were present: Mayor Schneider. Councilmembers Crain. Sisk. Vasiliou, and Zitur The following members were absent: none Councilmember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved Its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 87-124 DENYING ON -SALE NON -INTOXICATING LIQUOR LICENSE FOR ST. MARY'S OF THE LAKE CHURCH WHEREAS, application for on -sale non -intoxicating liquor license has been received from Barb Fallstad representing St. Mary's of the Lake Church, to be held in conjunction with the Fun and Games Night on February 21, 1987 for consideration and approval by the Plymouth City Council in accordance with Plymouth City Code, Chapter XII, Section 1206; and WHEREAS, all fees have been paid, required Insurance provided, and the Police Department has conducted an investigation; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that on -sale non -intoxicating liquor license be denied for the following reason: 1. The Council finds the application is not In accordance with Chapter XII, Section 1215.01 which states, "Gambling and gambling devices are not permitted on a licensed premises." The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, Tie following vote n Yavor thereof: M75 -or Schneider Councilmembers Crain Sisk Vasiliou, and Zitur The rollowina voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopt;
