Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 5th day of
January , 1987. The following members were present:
Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain, Sisk, Vasiliou, and Zitur
The following members were absent: none
Councilmember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 87-20
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF
EIGHT 1987 MODEL POLICE PATROL VEHICLES
WHEREAS, the 1987 Central Equipment Budget contemplates the purchase of Police
Patrol vehicles; and
WHEREAS, on October 28, 1986 pursuant to State Statute, the Hennepin County
Cooperative Purchasing Group received and publicly read aloud sealed bids for
the purchase of mid and full size Police Patrol vehicles under Hennepin County
Contract No. 7505; and
WHEREAS, the Hennepin County Board, upon recommendation of the County
Purchasing Manager, has awarded this bid to the lowest responsible bidder,
Thane Hawkins Polar Chevrolet, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That it should and hereby does authorize the purchase of
eight Police full size Patrol vehicles from Tbane Hawkins Polar Chevrolet, Inc.
under the conditions and specifications of Hennepin County, Contract No. 7505.
FURTHER, that the City Manager is hereby authorized to issue a purchase order
in an amount not to exceed $92,632 from Account No. 602-531-921 for the
purchase of these vehicles.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain. Sisk.
Vasiliou, and Zitur
The following voted against or abstained: none
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
