Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 15th day
of December , 1986. The following members were present:
Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain, Sisk, Vasiliou, and Zitur
The following members were absent: none
Councilmember Crain introduced the following Resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 86- 800
AUTHORIZING THE VACATION OF STREET '.,IGHTS-OF-WAY
11TH AND 12'01 AVENUE IN GLEASON TRAIL '.DDITION
WHEREAS, a petition was received to vacate 11th and 12th Avenue in. Gleason
Trail Addition; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing with respect to said vacation was scheduled for
December 1-1, '986 in accordance with Minnesota Statutes 412.851 as amended; and
WHEREAS, a notice of publication of said hearing was published and posted two
weeks prior to the meeting of December 15, 1986; and
WHEREAS, the Council did hold a public hearing on December 15, 1986 to inform
any and all interested parties relevant to said vacation of said 11th and 12th
Avenue in Gleason Trail Addition; and
WHEREAS, it was determined by the City Council that said rights-of-way for 11th
1band 12th Avenue in Gleason Trail Addition as described below is not needed for
public street;
NOW, THEREFORE, HE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA
1. The legal description of th, two parcels to be vacated are as follows:
All that part of the 11th Avenue North and 12th Avenue North
right-of-way as dedicated in the plat of Gleason Trail, according
to the recorded plat thereof, Hennepin County, Minnesota, lying
Westerly of the Northerly and Southerly extension of the West line
of Vicksburg Lane, as dedicated in said Gleason Trail.
2. The City shall reserve a utility easement over said vacated streets.
The motion for the adoption o= rile foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Sisk , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereto : Mayor Schneider. Councilmembers Crain,
Sisk, Vasiliou, and Zitur
The following voted against or abstained: none
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
