HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1986-806CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 1st day of December 1986. The following members were present: The following members were absent: none Councilmember Crain introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 86-806 APPROVING NO PARKING SIGN INSTALLATION ON 35TH PLACE AND WELLINGTON LANE, SOUTH OF 36TH AVENUE WHEREAS, the Indepeudent School District No. 281 has a student Parking Permit System for Armstrong-Robbinsdale; and WHEREAS, this program causes dislocation of some student vehicles from off-street school parking lots to on -street locations; and WHEREAS, the residents on certain streets have requested restrictive parking; and WHEREAS, the City desires to minimize on -street parking to enhance pedestrian safety. SOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That it hereby authorizes the installation of No Parking signs reading "No Parking - 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., School Days" at the following locations: Wellington Lane, from 36th Avenue to 35th Place and 35th Place, East and West of Wellington Lane (all within Armstrong Ridge) The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was dummy seconded by Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: __Mayor Schneider. Councilmembers Crain. The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
