HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1986-750CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular _ meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 3rd day of Novemher , 1986. The following members were present: Maynr Schneider. Ceuncilmembers Crain. Sisk. Vasiliou. and Zitur The following members were ab-ent: none Councilmember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 86-750 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID PLYMOUTH CREEK FISH BARRIER PROJECT NO. 647 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of tr;� Plymouth Creek Fish Barrier and all necessary appurtenances, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Company Total Bid Sevcon, Inc. $53,240.81 Crossings, Inc. 66,100.15 C/M Barry Construction, Inc. 78,713.00 AND, WHEREAS, it appears that Sevcon, Inc, of Cokato, Minnesota is the lowest 0 responsible bidder; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH: 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Sevcon, Inc., of Cokato, in the name of the City of Plymouth for the construction of the Plymouth Creek Fish Barrier according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk in the amount of the low bid of $53,240.81. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and th_^ next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: . Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain, Sisk, Vasillou, and Litur The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.- �*
