HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1986-720CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 27th day of 1bOetaher 1986. The fallowing members were present: ynr S hnoid r, rnunr11mPmhPrr. rain, Vasilinu_ and 71tur The following members were absent: Cnuncilmomhor tisk Counrilmem7her 7itur introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 86- 720 RECEIVING REPORT AND ORDERING PROJECT N0. 431 WATER TREATMENT FACILITIES WHEREAS, it has been determined that an alternate water supply will be developed at a location ocher than the central well field; and WHEREAS, it has b, -,ined that the location of the alternate well field will be at the Zach ayfield Site; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to construct water treatment facilities at this site. WHEREAS, the preliminary engineering report for Project 431 was ordered on August 18, 1986 by the City council and said report was presented to the City Council on October 27, 1986; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 10 1. That such improvements are hereby ordered as proposed in the engineering report as follows: a. That the City construct a 7 MGD gravity iron and manganese removal facility b. That the plant be located at Site A, locatEd South of new County Road No. 9. C. That a minimum of 300,000 gallons of ground storage be provided at the Zachary WTF site, as required for effective high service pumping. d. That the control system at the Central WTF be upgraded. 2. Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik 6 Associates are hereby designated as the engineer for the improvement. They shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvement. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution wrs duly seconded by Mayor Schneider , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: _Mayor Schneider. Couricilmembers Crain. Vasiliou. and Zitur The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
