AND, WHEREAS, it appears that Layne -Western Company, Inc. is the lowest
resp,3nsible bidder;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH:
1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter
into the attached contract with Layne -Western Company, Inc. in the
name of the City of Plymouth for the drilling of Deep Well No. 9
according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by
the City Council on file in the office of the City Clerk in the
amount of the low bid of $75,409.00.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return
forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except
that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest
bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain, Sisk,
Vasiliou, and Zitur
The following voted against or abstained: none
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
