HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1986-686Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 6th day of October , 1986. The following members were present: The following members were absent: 0 A** Councilmember Vasiliou introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 86- 686 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID GLEASON LAKE DRIVE (COUNTY ROAD 15) TRAIL PROJECT NO. 602 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of Gleason Lake Drive from Vicksburg Lane to Carlson Parkway by the installation of a bituminous trail improvement and all necessary appurtenances, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Company Total Bid Preferred Paving, Inc. $ 147,154.10 Hardrives, Inc. 154,310.90 Barber Const. Co., Inc. 155,595.80 Alker Const., Inc. 173,471.15 . AND, WHEREAS, it appears that Preferred Paving, Inc., of Waconia, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH: 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Preferred Paving of Waconia, Minnesota in the name of the City of Plymouth for the improvement of Gleason Lake Drive from Vicksburg Lane to Carlson Parkway according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk in the amount of the low bid of $147,154.10. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain, Vasiliou, and Zitur The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
