HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1986-644CITY ` OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a rasialar meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 6th day of October , 1986. Vasiliou_ and 71tLr The following members were absent: r Risk *** *ter ,k,k 2 Councilmember Crain introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 86-644 ADOPTING ASSESSMENT 1986 DELINQUENT UTILITIES AND ANNUAL STREET LIGHTS WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the Council has met and heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessments for 1986 delinquent utilities and annual street lights charges as provided for by the City Ordinances and has amended such proposed assessment as it deems just; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. Such proposed assessment, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part thereof, is hereby accepted and shall constitute the special assessment against the land named therein and each tract of land herein included is hereby bound to be identified by the amount of the assessment levied against it. 10 2. Such assessments shall be payable over a period of one year. 3. Assessments may be paid in full to the City of Plymouth Finance Director by November 6, 1986 without additional charge. After November 6, 1986 daily interest charge based on an annual rate of 8.00% starting on October 6, 1986 will be due in addition to the levied assessment. The last date a payment can be accepted by the City of Plymouth is November 15, 1986. After that date interest shall be added from the date of this resolution until December 31, 1987 and payment can only be made to Hennepin County with the 1987 property taxes. 4. The Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment to the County Finance Director to be extended on the proper tax lists of the County and such assessments shall be collected and paid over the same manner as other municipal taxes. 5. The total cost of the 1986 delinquent utilities and annual street lights charges assessed by this resolution are $ 116,457.11. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by counr_ilmember Vasiliou , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain, Vasiliou. and Zitur The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
