Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City
Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 29th day
Of CPptamhar 1986. The following members were present:
mavnr Schneider. Councilmembers Crain, Sisk, Vasiliou, and Zitur
The following members were absent: none
rnunrilmpmher Crain introduced the following Resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 86-612
RESOLUTION REJECTING BIDS
DEEP WELL NO'S 8 AND 9
PROJECT NO. 625
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the drilling of Deep Well
No's 8 and 9 bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and
WHEREAS, an alternate method of construction was proposed not in accordance
with the approved plans and specifications; and
WHEREAS, it appears this method of construction will provide a substantial cost
savings on the construction of the wells.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the bids received on September 26, 1986 for the
drilling of Deep Well No. 8 and No. 9 be rejected; and
10 FURTHER, the consulting engineer is directed to revise the plans and
,specifications to provide for alternate bids for both "Reverse Rotary Drilling"
and "Cable Tool Drilling" and submit the revised plans to the City Council for
approval and readvertisement for bids.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
rnunrilmamher Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
