HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1986-580CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 15th day of September , 1986. The following members were present: _Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain, Sisk, Vasiliou. and Zitur The following members were absent: none *Irk *** *** Councilmember Vasiliou introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 86-580 AUTHORIZING AGREEMENT WITH DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES FISH BARRIER ON PLYMOUTH CREEK CITY PROJECT NO. 647 WHEREAS, the Bassett Creek Water Management Commission has recommended the construction of a fish barrier on Plymouth Creek in order to improve the water quality of Medicine Lake; and WHEREAS, the Bassett Creek Water Management Commission has obtained full funding for the structure from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and Hennepin County; and WHEREAS, Barr Engineering Company, the Engineer for the Commission, has prepared a Preliminary Engineering Report and negotiated with the Agencies for funding of the structure; and WHEREAS, in order to proceed with the project, it is necessary for the City of Plymouth to enter into an Agreement with Department of Natural Resources for their share of the funding for the project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the Mayor is authorized to enter into an agreement with DNR for Lhe construction of a fish barrier on Plymouth Creek and funding of the construction in an amount not to exceed $36,000. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain, Sisk. Vasiliou. and Zitur The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
