CITY OF PLYMOUTH PursuAnt to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 2nd day of September , 1986. The following members were present: Ra7y-or Schneider, Councilmembers Crain, Sisk, Vasiliou, and Zitur The following members were absent: none Councilmember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 86-532 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID CLEANING, REPAIRING AND PAINTING M.I.P. WATER TOWER WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for cleaning, repairing and painting of the M.I.P. Water Tower; and WHEREAS, bids were received, opened and tablulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Company Total Bid Andrew Langum, Inc. $ 88,500.00 Odland Protective Coatings 93,050.00 Abhe and Svoboda, Inc. 154,305.00 WHEREAS, the bidders were required to submit evidence of qualification with 1Wtheir proposal and the Engineer has checked said evidence; and WHEREAS, the Engineer has investigated the available evidence and information and recommends that the apparent low bidder does have the proper qualifications to carry out the terms of the contract; and AND, WHEREAS, it appears that Andrew Langum, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH: 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Andrew Langum, Inc. in the name of the City of Plymouth for the cleaning,repairing and painting of the M.I.P. Water Tower in the amount of $88,500.00. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidder:. the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained untii a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain, Sisk, Vasiliou, and Zitur The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
