Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 18th day of
Aijguct , 1986. The following members were present: Mayor Schneider,

The following members were absent: _ none
Cnuncilmemher Zitur introduced the following Resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 86-505
ORDERING PRELIMINARY REPORT
ADDITIONAL WATER TREATMENT PLANT CAPACITY AND LOCATION
CITY PROJECT NO. 431
WHEREAS, the City has received reports on a Water System Analysis and Water
Supply Expansion Alternatives for the City's Water System; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that an alternate water supply will be
developed at a location other than the central well field; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the location of the alternate well field
will be at the Zachary Playfield Site; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to construct water treatment facilities at this site.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
. PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik and Associates, Inc. is designates as the
Consulting Engineer to prepare a Preliminary Engineering Report for
providing additional treatment capacity and location for the City's Water
System. Said report shall analyse the size and staging of construction of
the Treatment Facilities. The report shall analyse a Gravity Treatment
Plant and a Pressure Filter Treatment Plant and make recommendations on
the most feasible alternative. The report should also consider operation
of the system with respect to the existing Water Treatment Plant.
2. That the City Manager is directed and authorized to enter into an
Agreement with said firm.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Crain , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain and
Zitur
The following voted against or abstained:, Councilmembers Sisk and Vasillou-.*
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
