HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1986-491CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of .the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 18th day of August , 19 86. The following members were present: Mavor Schneider. Councilmembers Crain. Sisk. Vasiliou. and Zitur owing members were absent: none Councilmember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 86-491 ANIMAL WARNING REFLECTOR EXPERIMENTAL Pk0GRAM WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth is concerned with the safety of persons and preservation of property for those members of the motorinn Public who travel the streets and roadways in Plymouth, and WHEREAS, the City Council has appointed a task force to study the numerous problems caused by white-tailed deer in our community including deer/vehicle collisions, and WHEREAS, the task force recommended experimenting with a wildlife warninq system, and WHEREAS, the City Council directed further study of this proposal to obtain both approval and cost estimates; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TILE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the area just east of Zachary Lane on County Road 10 be signed with the Swareflex animal warning reflectors. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Public Safety Director report back to the City Council on an annual basis as to the effectiveness of these signs. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the amount of $2,497.60 is hereby allocated from account number 101-190-899.46. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain, Sisk. Vasiliou. and Zitur The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passe an adopted.
