Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 4th day of
August , 1986. The following members were present: Mayor Schneider,
_Councilmembers Sisk, Vasiliou, and Zitur
The following members were absent: Councilmember Crain
et -ret ,tour **,k ,
Councilmember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 86-483
AUTHORIZING ENGINEERING SERVICES AGREEMENT
FISH BARRIER ON PLYMOUTH CREEK
CITY PROJECT NO. 647
WHEREAS, the Bassett Creek Water Management Commission has recommended the
construction of a fish barrier on Plymouth Creek in order to improve the water
quality of Medicine Lake; and
WHEREAS, the Bassett Creek Water Management Commission has obtained full funding
for the structure from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and Hennepin
County; and
WHEREAS, Barr Engineering Company, the Engineer for the Commission, has prepared a
Preliminary Engineering Report and negotiated with the Agencies for funding of the
structure; and
WHEREAS, in order to proceed with the project, it is necessary for the City of
Plymouth to prepare plans and specifications for the structure.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNE'SOTA: That the City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with
Barr Engineering Company for the preparation of plans and specifications for the
fish barrier on Plymouth Creek as proposed in the Preliminary Engineering Report
as prepared by the Bassett Creek Water Management Commission. The cost of such
services shall not exceed $12,500, and the total cost of the project will be
funded by Agencies other than the City of Plymouth.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Sisk, Vasiliou, and
Zitur
The following voted against or abstained: none
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
