HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1986-428CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 21St day of July 1986. The following members were present-.79ra-yor Schneider, ounce mem ers urain, Sisk, Vasiliou, and Zitur The following members were absent: none Councilmember Zitur introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 86-428 AWARDING BID FOR PURCHASE OF SEVEN STAFF VEHICLES WHEREAS, funds have been budgeted for the purchase of seven staff vehicles in the 1986 budget; and WHEREAS, such equipment is required to adequately provide City services; and WHEREAS, in accordance with State Statute bid specifications were prepared and distributed and bid proposals received and opened on July 11, 1986; and WHEREAS, the following bids were received: Base Bid Alternate Bid Superior Ford None $58,553.00 Brookdale Chrysler $52,345.47 $59,947.43 Brookdale Ford 55,613.00 60,009.00 WHEREAS, the bid of Superior Ford is in conformance with City specifications for this equipment, and it is recommended that the alternate bid be accepted and is, therefore, declared the lowest responsible bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: that it should and hereby does accept the alternate proposal of Superior Ford in the amount of $58,553.00 and further that funds for this purchase are authorized from Account No. 602-531-921. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Sisk , and upon vote being taken thereon, the folliwing voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain, Sisk, Vasiliou, and Zitur The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
