Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 7th day
. of July , 1986. The following members were present: Mayor Schneider.
Councilmembers Crain. Sisk. and Zitur
The following members were absent: Councilmember Vasiliou
Councilmember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 86-407
RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN
AGREEMENT FOR THE EXCHANGE OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE
NORTHWEST CORNER OF COUNTY ROAD 6 AND I-494
WHEREAS, the City's Thorou,hfare Guide Plan contemplates the construction of an
interchange at I-494 and County Road 6; and
WHEREAS, independent traffic studies have demonstrated that the need for such
an interchange exists given the adopted Comprehensive Plans and ongoing
development; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has presented to this Council an agreement for the
exchange of property owned by Wagner Spray Tech Corporation and the City of
Plymouth, consisting of approximately four acres; and
WHEREAS, the Council has reviewed said agreement and finds it in the City's
interest to provide for the acceptance and execution of said agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the Mayor and City Manager be and the same are hereby
authorized and directed to execute the agreement providing for the exchange of
property located at the Northwest corner of County Road 6 and I-494 in
accordance with the terms of that agreement;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that funds received by the City for the building are
hereby designated to the City's Minnesota State Aid (MSA) fund.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Counr.ilmPmher Crain , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider. Councilmembers Crain. Sisk.
and Zi tur
The following voted against or abstained: none
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
