RESOLUTION NO. 86-403
DENYING REQUEST FOR LAWFUL GAMBLING EXEMPTION
WEST SIDE C.B. CLUB, INC.
WHEREAS, the City has received notice of an application frog the West Side C.B.
Club, Inc. to the Minnesota Charitable Gambling Control Board to operate
pull -tabs in conjunction with the Ninth Annual Cancer Research Benefit to be
held on July 26 at the West Medicine Lake Community Club; and,
WHEREAS, the Council has reviewed the request;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does deny the request for
approval of a charitable gambling license for the following reasons:
1. Section 121(1,15 Subdivision 5 of the Plymouth City Code prohibits gambling
devices or gambling from facilities licensed for liquor sales of any type.
2. And further, that the West Medicine Lake Community Club is licensed for
consumption and display of liquor and on -sale non -intoxicating liquor.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Crain , and upon vote being taken thereon,re
following vote n favor thereof: Ma 'r Schneider, Couneilmembers Crain Sirk,
