HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1986-359CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 16th day of June , 1986. The following members were presen�yor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain. Vasiliou. and Zitur The following members were absent: Councilmember Crain introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 86-359 CANCELLING CONTRACT WITH PLYMOUTH VILLAGE AUTOMOTIVE, INC. AND AWARDING CONTRACT TO VALLEY TOWING SERVICE FOR TOWING AND IMPOUNDING OF VEHICLES WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has entered into a contract with Plymouth Village Automotive, Inc. for towing and impounding of vehicles; and WHEREAS, Plymouth Village Automotive, Inc. has not conformed to all aspects of t e contract; and WHEREAS, the City Attorney and Finance Director have reviewed the findings and feel there is adequate justification for termination of the contract effective immediately; and WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth is desirous of entering into a contract for towing and impounding of vehicles; and ® WHEREAS, Valley Towing Service has agreed to provide the services to the City for towing and impounding of vehicles at the price as bid; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the contract with Plymouth Village Automotive, Inc. be cancelled immediately, and further that the Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Valley Towing Service in the name of the City of Plymouth for towing and impounding of vehicles according to the bid on file in the office of the City Clerk. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain. Vasiliou, and Zitur The following voted against t or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
