Vacilirnj and 7itur The following members were absent: nnnp COuncilmember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 86-338 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID 1986 STREET IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for 1986 Street Improvement Program; and WHEREAS, bids were received, opened and tablulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Company Total Bid Alexander Construction $720,880.60 Buffalo Bituminous, Inc. 731,024.00 Munn Blacktop, Inc. 735,656.75 Valley Paving, Inc. 737,247.75 Hardrives, Inc. 747,877.50 Alber Construction 766,715.60 Northwest Asphalt 775,682.50 C.S. McCrossan, Inc. 783,389.00 Bury and Carlson, Inc. 792,458.10 AND, WHEREAS, it appears that Alexander Construction of Apple Valley, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH: 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Alexander Construction in the name of the City of Plymouth for the construction of the 1986 Street Improvement Program in the amount of $720,880.60. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Vasiliou , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain, Sisk. Vasiliou and Zitur The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
