HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1986-250CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the Sth day of May , 1986. The following members were present: �JgSu vnr rhneirler_ rnllnrilmamhPrC rrain- Sirde„ Vaeilinand 7itur The following members were absent: nnno Councilmember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 86-250 AUTHORIZING THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF OLD COUNTY ROAD 6 (16TH AVENUE NORTH) ADJACENT TO LOTS 2 AND 3, BLOCK 1 PLYMOUTH ORCHARDS 2ND ADDITION WHEREAS, a petition was received to vacate the following street right-of-way: All that part of Old County No. 6 lying Southeast of the following described line: A line parallel to and 50 feet Southeast of the centerline of Hennepin County State Aid Highway No. 6, Plat 5 and lying North of Plymouth Orchards 2nd Addition. WHEREAS, a public hearing with respect to said vacation was scheduled for May 5, 1986 in accordance with Minnesota Statutes 412.851 as amended; and WHEREAS, a notice of publication of said hearing was published and posted two weeks prior to the meeting of May 5, 1986; and WHEREAS, the Council did hold a public hearing on May 5, 1986 to inform any and all interested parties relevant to the vacation of said street; and WHEREAS, it was determined by the City Council that said street is not needed for public purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the following street is hereby vacated: 1. That a portion of Old County Road 6 described as follows is hereby vacated: All that part of Old County No. 6 lying Southeast of the following described line: A line parallel to and 50 feet Southeast of the centerline of Hennepin County State Aid Highway No. 6, Plat 5 and lying North of Plymouth Orchards 2nd Addition. 2. The City shall reserve a utility easement over said vacated street. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers_C_rain, Sisk, Vasiliou and Zitur _ The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. fit* *ir* tr�tir
